nanoArts is a monthly spoken word and performance event held at Blue Velvet Bar & Nightclub.
The events are organised by Geoff Lemon. Additional assistance is provided by Steve Smart.
nanoArts aims to turn small arts ideas into big arts events & performances. nanoArts like the science of nanotechnology focusses on how emotion in arts practice can be harnessed at the smallest scales of perception and built into new structures that conceptualise ideas in novel ways.
nanoArts was developed by Dr. Cameron L. Jones in 2006 as the *new* poetry event theme for Blue Velvet. The idea was first developed with Steve Smart over coffee and/or a beer in Smith Street.
